YEREVAN. - In 2011, the off-budget fund of the Armenia police is to total AMD 11.08 billion (about U.S. $30 million), the Armenian Government’s official website reports.

The 2011 budget of the Armenian police is AMD 24 billion (U.S. $65 million). Thus, a third of the police’s need is financed from off-budget funds.

The following four sources form the off-budget fund of the police; security services (AMD 5.9 billion or 53.4%); fines and other services (AMD 4.8 billion or 43.8%); issuance of passports (AMD 306 million) and medical services rendered by the Armenian police system. (AMD 7 million).
