As of December 23, the State Budget of Armenia has overperformed by AMD 89,000,000,000 ($185,000,000). This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page.

The Facebook post reads as follows:

“As of December 23, the State Budget of Armenia has overperformed by AMD 89,000,000,000 ($185,000,000).

This means the country has received this much more tax revenues compared to what was predicted or envisaged under the 2019 State Budget.

On the same day, out of the collected funds, AMD 40,000,000,000 was spent to redeem the expired debits of the Value Added Tax, that is, the previously accumulated debts to be paid to economic entities have been paid off.

This year, a total of AMD 150,000,000,000 was returned to the economy with respect to the Value Added Tax.

As far as overperformance of the State Budget is concerned, there is no doubt that it will be much bigger based on the results of the year.”
