The Inter-Agency Commission on Electronic Justice today held a session chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan, reports the Office of Tigran Avinyan.
Tigran Avinyan presented the activities completed after adoption of the decisions during the previous session. In particular, the plan for introduction of the “Electronic Criminal Case” system, which was considered during the previous session, has actually been launched, and the newly established task force will have a thorough description ready by the end of March 2020.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that, within the framework of the comprehensive plan for judicial and legal reforms, it is extremely important to upgrade the databases of draft legal acts to be considered and developed and adopted legal acts that serve as a part of the unified system of electronic justice. The current systems are the Armenian Legal Information System (www.arlis.am) and the Unified Website for Publication of Legal Acts’ Drafts (www.e-draft.am).
Avinyan informed that a qualitatively new electronic platform will be created through the integration of the two websites and addition of functions, and this will ensure complete digitization of law-making. This is important in order to improve the quality of law-making, shape a new culture in the sector and create a favorable and predictable business climate in the country.
