YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper writes: Zhoghovurd daily learned that the meeting of the executive body of the [ex-ruling] RPA [Republican Party of Armenia] was very heated yesterday. According to our information, the meeting was quite jam-packed. The keynote speaker at the meeting was RPA chairman [and third President] Serzh Sargsyan (…).

At a closed meeting, they noted that the trust in the authorities is waning Armenia, and they [the RPA] should start more active activities in 2020.

During the meeting they also touched upon the scenario of holding snap parliamentary elections to form a new team with a younger makeup.

The RPA members also congratulated each other on New Year, and decided to celebrate New Year in Armenia. We learned that Serzh Sargsyan will also celebrate the New Year in Armenia. Let us remind that within the framework of the criminal case against Serzh Sargsyan, the SIS [Special Investigation Service] has chosen signature bond not to leave the country as his preventive measure.
