Ten active foci of forest fires have been recorded in Georgia, Novosti-Georgia reported referring to a Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the service, dry weather in the fall and in December after a hot summer caused the fires.

The situation of all active fires is fully controlled, the emergency management service said in a statement.

According to the service, mostly undergrowth burns - dried shrubs, grass and leaves. Some of the fires are already localized.
