YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Committee for Prevention of Corruption has disseminated a clarification on the decision to launch proceedings against Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan on the grounds of apparent breach of incompatibility requirements.

"Some media outlets have presented the launching of the proceedings as a recording of the fact of violation, which is untrue," the respective statement reads, in particular. “We inform that, along the lines of the proceedings launched, the Committee is investigating the facts of an apparent violation. After examining all the materials, documents and information (...) relevant to the matter under discussion (...), the Committee will adopt and publicize within the time limit set by law the Committee's conclusion on the existence or absence of a violation."
