YEREVAN. – Deceased Yazidi conscript Artur Ajamyan’s relatives are pleased with their meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Speaking to reporters, Artur Ajamyan's uncle Jmo Ajamyan said that the Prime Minister had promised to provide an objective solution to the issue. "He said he would personally follow the case and the criminals would answer," he said. “We are pleased with the meeting with the Prime Minister. They said they would call and inform [us]. The Prime Minister answered all our questions, we are very pleased."
Hayarpi Sargsyan, the representative of Artur Ajamyan's legal successor, said it has been instructed to make a report on the criminal case, as there is also confidential information for the investigation, so they would decide which information should be provided.
Relatives demand a fair and impartial investigation of this case. According to them, the Investigative Committee could have ascertained the circumstances of Artur Ajamyan's death in a short period of time, but the investigation is still ongoing.
Earlier it was reported that Artur Ajamyan's relatives had closed down Tigran Mets Avenue and demanded a meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. His assistant Nairi Sargsyan had approached the relatives and said that Pashinyan had come down from the government building to meet with them, but when he learned that they had blocked the road, he went back.
