Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today received winners of the 2019 “Neruzh” (Potential) Technology Startups Program for Diaspora Armenians, reports the news service of the Government of Armenia.
The program is designed for Diaspora Armenian entrepreneurs and provides them with the opportunity to work in Armenia by localizing their startups and receiving state funding.
Nikol Pashinyan congratulated the winners of the program and attached importance to this initiative targeted at the influx of Diaspora Armenian specialists in the field of technology. The Prime Minister stated that the program arises from the Armenian government’s vision for the country’s present and future and the notions about relations with the Diaspora, that is, Armenians of the Diaspora must not only long for Armenia, but also visit, work and create in the country, as well as get rich and enrich the country.
The winners of the program expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the congratulatory remarks and presented their startups that they plan to localize in Armenia. The winning ideas of the year are related to the fields of agriculture, garbage disposal, sport, as well as the creation of electronic platforms for development and improvement of the service sector.
