The number of road accidents increased by almost a quarter over the year in Armenia.

According to the deputy chief of the Traffic Police Arman Chilingaryan, as of December 26, 4715 accidents have been registered since the beginning of the year. As a result of these accidents, 335 dead, 6678 wounded.

Thus, over the year, the number of accidents increased by a record one thousand, there is an increase in the number of dead and wounded. As of December 25, 2018, in Armenia since the beginning of 2018, 3725 accidents were registered. As a result of these accidents, 310 were killed and 5394 injured. 1649 road accidents were registered in Yerevan, 80 were killed, 2193 people were injured.
