YEREVAN. – According to the response to a request from AntiFake.am, the Armenian Ministry of Health officials who submit declarations in March-December 2019 have received bonuses.

In particular, the ministry’s official who has received the highest bonus pay is Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan, who received 14,834,904 drams in 10 months of 2019. The bonus was allotted in accordance with the 2019 budget.

Deputy Minister Lena Nanushyan received 9,371,014 drams in bonuses during the mentioned periods. Another deputy minister, Anahit Avanesyan, received 9,672,612 drams.

Newly appointed Deputy Minister Artyom Smbatyan received 7,300,757 drams as a bonus in March-December 2019, and Deputy Minister Levon Hakobyan received 7,132,109 drams.

It should be noted that Deputy Health Minister Arsen Davtyan was arrested on March 30. He was charged with taking large bribe. Prior to that, however, the former deputy minister had already received his monthly bonus of 1,124,430 drams.

Another former deputy minister, Hovhannes Harutyunyan, held office until October 10, before which receiving 5,035,635 drams. Newly appointed deputy minister Shavarsh Grigoryan, who has been performing his duties since November 15, has already received 1,661,447 drams as bonus.

Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry, Vahe Hakobyan, received 2,563,454 drams.

Tsaghik Vardanyan, Head of the State Health Agency of the Ministry of Health, received 2,900,107 drams as bonus pay. And Vahe Aleksanyan, the head of the ministry’s Licensing Agency, received 3,696,628 drams.

The total amount of bonuses paid to the abovementioned officials is about 65 million drams.
