YEREVAN. – Dating agencies have become more popular among Armenian women and men, said the head of “Meeting” Family and Marriage center Nare Martoyan.

She said few people appealed to the center about eight years ago, however, the situation has changed. The number of clients has doubled reaching 2,000 in 2010. To date 4,000 people have already appealed to center’s services, 75% of them women aged from 30 to 45.

“Women of this age group want to get married and have children as soon as possible. Young women from 17-25 draw more attention to financial status, while those who are 30 and above value humane qualities. At the same time, men prefer divorced women with children,” the expert said.
