YEREVAN. – The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case in connection with using the official position contrary to the interests of the service, or for failure to perform official duties. The former head of the management department of the staff of the office of the National Assembly (NA) has been indicted.

Accordingly, this individual, working in the aforesaid post since February 2014, committed abuse of power during the respective tenure, the Investigative Committee informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. As a result, 1,036,409 drams worth of property damage was caused to the legitimate interests of the NA staff.

A criminal charge has been filed against this former head of the management department of the staff of the NA office.

A signature bond to not leave Armenia was chosen as the precautionary measure for this person.
