Representatives of the U.S. State Department will visit Georgia on April 27-28, Pirveli agency reports.

The purpose of the visit is to conduct activities within the framework of military cooperation between the two countries.

A U.S. Republican Senator also plans to visit Georgia. The U.S. Embassy in Georgia confirmed this information, but declined to disclose details, the agency reports.

“At the moment details are being clarified and additional information can be provided later,” the embassy said.
