YEREVAN. – At its session today, the government of Armenia made a decision to take back the main building of the “Republican Center for AIDS Prevention” SNCO with its auxiliary buildings and 0.618 hectares of land in Yerevan.

By the same decision, this SNCO is being reorganized as the “Republican Center for AIDS Prevention” CJSC with 100% state participation, and after registration, this new CJSC will join the “NORK Infection Clinical Hospital” CJSC. In essence, this decision closes down the Republican Center for AIDS Prevention.

The reasoning behind this decision states that the purpose of the merger of the two centers is to increase the resources of two legal entities, increase the efficiency and productivity of medical equipment utilization, optimize administrative infrastructure, systematically and efficiently organize the work of healthcare system organizations of Armenia.
