Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan today convened a consultation during which the course of implementation of the activities for introduction of the new property tax system was considered, reports the Staff of the Prime Minister.

The relevant government officials reported that all types of real estate in Armenia have already been evaluated and the total amount is AMD 1,279,000. Based on the evaluation, the types of property tax envisaged in various zones under the new system were presented, and the aim is to increase addressability of taxation. As a result, it is expected to introduce in Armenia a unified and effective system of evaluation and taxation of real estate.

The Prime Minister attached importance to the implementation of reforms in the property tax sector and gave the relevant officials assignments in regard to the regulations. Pashinyan also assigned to develop the necessary bill for introduction of the new system that will be presented for public deliberation.
