At least 35 people were hurt, including seven policemen, as protesters clashed with security forces in Sulaimaniya city,
The clashes broke out when police tried to drive protesters out of a central square of the city. The demonstrators demanded reforms, jobs and improvement of living conditions, Arab TV channels report.
The security forces opened fire and used batons and tear gas against demonstrators, ITAR-TASS reports.
