YEREVAN. – Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan and his Georgian counterpart Bacho Akhalaia stressed the importance of exchanging experience at a joint press conference in Yerevan on Monday.

Bacho Akhalaia noted that the Georgian side is interested in Armenia’s experience in reforms in the defense system.

In his turn, Seyran Ohanyan noted the importance of sharing experiences in improving the armed forces.

In February 2011 Armenia and Georgia signed military cooperation program for 2011. The program provides cooperation in the fields of peacekeeping, military exercises and exchange of visits.

The defense ministers of two states discussed bilateral cooperation and summed up results of the visit. The Georgian minister will also visit Armenian Genocide Memorial Tsitsernakaberd.
