“Romania highly appreciates patience of Armenia and Azerbaijan in the negotiation process of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Romania is very concerned over prolongation of frozen conflicts in the region,” President of Romania Traian Basescu stated during his visit to Azerbaijan.

He stressed that Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be solved on the basis of international law. “This conflict is in the region close to the Black Sea basin. I think this region is very important for NATO, the EU and Romania as well. I am sure that this conflict must be resolved within the international law.” Besescu said.
