YEREVAN. - It is necessary to develop legal approaches to eliminate consequences of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey, said Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum Hayk Demoyan.

Speaking at Armenia-Russia space bridge, Demoyan stressed mankind has not developed a clear mechanism to prevent massacres so far, noting that politics still plays an important role.

Russian scientist Vladimir Zakharov said that the crime of genocide has not yet been stamped out as neither Turkey nor its partners have recognized the Armenian Genocide.

“Turkey is trying to deceive the world by denying the fact of the Armenian Genocide. However, there are hundreds of thousands of historical documents testifying to the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey,” he said.

Zakharov stressed necessity of intensifying international recognition efforts ahead of 100th anniversary.
