YEREVAN. - Head of oppositional Heritage parliamentary group Stepan Safaryan has no great expectations over April 28 rally of the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC).

“I think some points in [ANC leader] Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s speech are of great significance. First, if the ANC leader considers that the risk of a new war by Azerbaijani is high, it will not take decisive moves,” Safaryan stressed. “Consequently, no breakthrough is expected on April 28.”

According to him, Ter-Petrosyan made such a statement in an attempt to put pressure on international agencies and explain that Karabakh conflict is not resolved yet and the ANC will not control the unrest in the country.

Safaryan stressed that some oppositional members are clearly disappointed with the rupture in the oppositional forces, whereas others may be disappointed with ineffective struggle.
