Azerbaijan’s policy, trying to keep the truth about the Karabakh conflict from the international community and threatening all foreigners who visit Nagorno-Karabakh, is simply unacceptable, Head of the Armenian-British Friendship Group, Baroness Caroline Cox told a press conference in Yerevan on Thursday.

She thanked her colleagues for their courage to arrive in Nagorno-Karabakh despite Baku’s threats and blackmail. “Baku is afraid of the truth, fearing foreign guests will learn the truth if they travel to Nagorno-Karabakh,” Caroline Cox emphasized.

Speaking of her trip to Nagorno-Karabakh, Caroline Cox noted that progress has been achieved in almost all spheres of the country. “During our meetings with officials of Nagorno-Karabakh, we made sure that it is the Armenian side that made concessions in the negotiation process,” she noted. The British MP stressed the need for Stepanakert’s direct participation in the negotiation process. “I think sooner or later Azerbaijan will have to agree with it,” she emphasized.
