YEREVAN. - No economic growth is a reflection of the state of Armenia’s economy, Ara Nranyan, a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) parliamentary group, told journalists Thursday.

Head of the Alternative analytic center, Doctor of Economy Tatul Manaseryan pointed out that no economic progress should be expected in the country until the government is able to discriminate between the global economic crisis and domestic problems.

Some of the CIS member-countries profited from the global crisis by enduring huge imports of equipment from the countries immediately affected by the crisis.

“Armenia failed to take the opportunity and streamline its economy because our authorities granted tax benefits only to large companies,” Manaseryan said.
