YEREVAN. - The US Dollar showed high-rate depreciation on NASDAQ OMX Armenia, Thursday.

The average exchange rate was AMD 375/ $1 against AMD 376.04/ $1 on Wednesday. The exchange rate at the close was 374.95 AMD/ $1, with most transactions effected at this exchange rate. Overall, $2.35 million worth transactions were effected.

Exchange offices forecast US Dollar depreciation before the close of exchange and reduced the exchange rate. By 5:00 p.m., most exchange offices purchased US Dollars at AMD 374/ $1 and sold at AMD 376 – AMD 377/ $1.
