YEREVAN. – In the course of the investigation of a criminal case, it was found out that 10,526 square meters of state-owned land was seized in Drakhtik community of Gegharkunik Province, at Sevan National Park, and illegal buildings were constructed on the said land without construction permits, Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In particular, the former head of the Drakhtik community, knowing that a former minister had built a summerhouse there without a construction permit, he did not exercise his powers to impose administrative sanctions on the builder of this illegal structure.

The Prosecutor General’s Office has petitioned to the Ministry of Environment to consider filing a lawsuit with the court seeking the termination of this builder's right, as well as the matters with respect to the future management of the buildings that were illegally constructed on this state-owned plot of land.
