Stepanakert. - President of the Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited the Askeran region.
He held meetings with representatives of the Ughtasar, Nakhijevanik, Vardadzor and Sarnaghbyur communities and discussed the problems of the communities.
The president inspected the workflow of programs in the Askeran regional centre and convoked an enlarged consultation with the participation of heads of local administrations, directors of enterprises, businessmen and representatives of non-governmental organizations. A wide range of issues related to the socioeconomic development of the region was discussed during the consultation.
President Sahakyan mentioned that the Askeran region has a serious development potential that should be used efficiently to achieve a significant progress, NKR presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Sahakyan noted the importance of holding consultations in such a format, whish enables to monitor the situation, current problems and ways for their solution from different perspectives.
