Central Council of Armenians in Germany sent a letter to MPs of German Bundestag calling to brand 1915 events as genocide, Azg newspaper reports.

In 2005, the word “massacre” was repeatedly used in the text of the resolution “Armenian” in Germany’s legislative body, but the word Massaker (massacres, pogroms) was used in the headline instead of legal term “genocide”.

The Council sent another letter to the Minister of State for Culture Bernd Neumann to support erection of Armenian cross-stone under the dome of the Berlin Reichstag. The opening ceremony is to be held  on 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, on April 24, 2015,.
