France reported another 27 deaths from coronavirus, taking the total to 175, Reuters reported.

Overall, the number of confirmed cased jumped to 7,730 as of Tuesday, and 699 of them are critical, local health authorities said.

France is on a 15-day lockdown starting Monday. All citizens are banned from leaving homes, and police can issue fines for people without a written declaration justifying their reasons for being out.
