YEREVAN. - The Armenian Assembly of America is carrying out daily work with the U.S. State Department, U.S. congressmen in the context of Armenian Genocide recognition, said regional director of the Armenian Assembly of America Armina Darbinyan.
“Although AAA members are not promoting their work, more pro-Armenian congressmen and officials appear. As a result it will lead finally to recognition of the Armenian Genocide,” she said. Darbinyan also noted that bloody clashes which continue today are results of unrecognized crimes, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reports.
On the threshold of April 24 Congressmen Frank Pallone and Ed Royce sent a letter to President Obama calling on him to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
Last year Senator Robert Menendez and Congressman Adam Schiff also sent similar letters.
