Speaker of the Turkish parliament Mehmet Ali Sahin is dissatisfied with U.S. President Barack Obama’s address on Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day on April 24.

“It may aim at frightening Turkey in a veiled form. I consider it a reprehensible behavior that parliaments of some countries include the Armenian issue on the agenda every year on April 24. Let historians be engaged in history, politicians cannot write and analyze the history,” he said TRT reports.

While Turks were disappointed with Obama’s April 24 address, the Armenian Diaspora in the U.S. was indignant at the content of his address. As during his previous addresses, the U.S. President used the term Meds Yeghern (Arm. Great Massacre), without qualifying the crime as genocide.
