YEREVAN. - Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian held a meeting April 25 with Chairwoman of the Sweden-Armenia friendship group at the Riksdag (Parliament of Sweden) Annelie Enochson, as well as with the group member Carl Fredrik Malm.

Minister Nalbandian pointed out the Swedish MPs` important activities in developing Armenian-Swedish relations as well as of parliamentary cooperation, the Armenian foreign office informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Minister Nalbandian expressed his appreciation for the group`s contribution to the adoption of an Armenian Genocide resolution by the Swedish parliament last year.

The Swedish MPs thanked the minister for a warm reception and assured him of their intention to continue contributing to further development of bilateral relations.

Minister Edward Nalbandian briefed the guests on Armenia`s foreign policy, cooperation with the European Union and Armenia`s position on regional issues.

Annelie Enochson and Carl Fredrik Malm were recently awarded medals of the Armenian parliament for their contribution to Armenian-Swedish parliamentary ties.
