YEREVAN. - Political processes have recently been rather quiet in Armenia. The authorities are trying not to press, while the opposition is not resisting, Deputy Chairman of Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Razmik Zohrabyan stated at a press conference on Tuesday.

According to him, there are no prerequisites to hold snap elections in Armenia, as the opposition demands. Speaking about the opposition’s demands, Zohrabyan stressed that the Armenian authorities are implementing democratic reforms without any ultimatums. However, the opposition simply uses this to their advantage to claim that the country’s leadership is carrying out their requirements.

“Armenia is now moving towards democracy and implementation of public interests,” he noted.

Referring to possible public disorder during opposition rallies in Yerevab, Zohrabyan noticed law enforcement agencies will keep order.
