YEREVAN. - Armenia’s extra-parliamentary Opposition is showing positive tendencies, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan told journalists.

The Opposition’s actions are not aimed at splitting Armenia’s society. “The actions are aimed at moving the political struggle to certain arenas. I welcome the recently established cooperation between the organizers of opposition rallies and law-enforcers, and no violations of public order have been reported,” President Sargsyan said. This all may eventually make Liberty Square an arena for alternative opinions on Armenia’s further development. “This is the real purpose of Liberty Square. We will be able to do away with the widespread opinion that Liberty Square is a source of radicalism,” the Armenian leader said.
