YEREVAN. - The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan discussed mining industry development perspectives with owners and directors of the companies operating in the mining sector, president’s press-service informed Armenian News–NEWS.am.

“The government came up with new initiative that allows companies to enjoy special conditions, together with the State revenue committee to develop the debt repayment timetable, and get rid of penalties and debts,” said President Sargsyan.  “It is in the interests of both, the state and economic players.”

President stressed that state revenues should not reduce as a result of the initiative.

“I rule it out, because we must allow funds to social sector, education, public health care, and defense. We cannot stop paying salaries and pensions, and we must pay them without delays,” – Sargsyan added.
