YEREVAN. - European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule and Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian signed on Friday a joint declaration between the European Commission and Armenian Government.

The declaration welcomes progress registered in talks on EU-Armenia association agreement, Armenian presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. The document also stresses importance of Armenia’s future steps aimed at creation of free trade zone provided by EU-Armenia association agreement.

The parties also undertake to actively implement the reforms envisaged by the agreement on association membership. The document envisages financial assistance to Armenia for carrying out reforms.
