YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent a condolence letter to his U.S. counterpart Barack Obama on devastating tornadoes killing hundreds in the Southern states.
“I learned with deep sorrow the news of almost 300 deaths and devastation caused by tornadoes in the Southern states.
On behalf of the people of Armenia and my own behalf, I express my sincerest condolences to you and families of the victims. We share your pain and at this grave moment wish you patience and endurance,” the letter reads, presidential press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Tornadoes and violent storms struck the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia and Kentucky.
