U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza confirmed there was a certain tension between Baku and Washington a few months ago. However, the diplomat assured that they managed to overcome the difficulties.

“We were asking each other how strong are the US-Azerbaijan relations? But now, particularly recent contacts and dialogues enabled us to leave all difficulties and misunderstandings behind,” APA news agency quotes Bryza as saying.

The Ambassador said Azerbaijan is important for U.S. for its geographical situation, energy cooperation and democratic development.

“The U.S.-Azerbaijan relations are developing more dynamically as against the previous period,” Bryza said.
