U.S. special forces hunted Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden due to satellite phone calls that his bodyguard made from July to August in 2010.

U.S. intelligence agencies targeted his Kuwaiti bodyguard’s calls, Christian Science Monitor reports citing Pakistani intelligence sources.

Al Qaeda leader avoided internet connection and phones, fearing those lines could be targeted. Instead he had formed a system of personal couriers, who carried his messages around the world.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, Osama bin Laden, the Al Qaeda leader behind September 11 terror attack was killed in a firefight with U.S. forces in Pakistan on Sunday, U.S. President Barack Obama said.
