Russian President Dmitry Medvedev submitted for ratification to the State Duma the agreement between Russia and Azerbaijan to fix the anchor line of land borders from the converging point of the Russian, Azerbaijani and Georgian borders to the Caspian Sea, RIA Novosti reported.

The documents say that this line corresponds to the former administrative border between Dagestan SSR and Azerbaijan SSR.

The border land between Russia and Azerbaijan is 284 km. The total length of the Russian state border makes about 60,000km.
