The Danish Parliament approved the provision of direct financial support to households to overcome the effects of the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. 

Not later than October, working citizens will receive an average of 19 thousand crowns ($ 2.86 thousand), TASS reported referring to Ritzaus Bureau.

In total, 60 billion kroons ($ 9.04 billion) will be spent on support, which, according to plans, will have to go into the national economy and contribute to its revitalization. The measure will be funded by vacation allowances, which were frozen so that workers would receive them upon retirement.

The specific amount for each person will be determined by the amount of benefits earned from September 1, 2019, to August 2020.

The parliament decided to provide financial aid to those living on social benefits, as well as to pensioners: all of them will receive 1 thousand kroons ($ 151), this amount is not taxed.
