Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis said the EU must stop talking and act against Turkey’s Mediterranean policy, Kathimerini reported.

His remarks came during a teleconference with leaders of the European People’s Party (EPP) on Wednesday afternoon.

Mitsotakis confirmed that Greece would not tolerate challenges to its sovereignty, and highlighted the need to send a convincing message to Turkey that the candidate country could not threaten EU nations. He noted that the EU reaction should be accompanied by action.

The PM also informed leaders about an incident last week with a Turkish ship flying the flag of Tanzania suspected of transporting arms to Libya, which was spotted off the coast of a North African country.
