Former Ambassador of Armenia to the Holy See Mikayel Minasyan has posted the following on his Facebook page:

“There was a time when the Armenian state, church and people were united as one and were moving towards the future, attaching importance to the past.

Four years ago today, Pope Francis was praying for the memory of the Armenian people at Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex, and in Gyumri and Yerevan, he was praying for the future of the people.

Thank you, Your Holiness for your exceptional love for the Armenian people and the friendship towards Armenia.

You will always remain in our prayers.”
