Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia Shombi Sharp today chaired a working discussion devoted to the drafts of the major documents related to the upcoming Armenia-UN Cooperation Framework, as reported the Government of Armenia.

Among the attendees were representatives of the Government and UN agencies.

The draft of the 2021-25 UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework, as well as the drafts of the 2021-25 Cooperation Plans of three UNDP, UNICEF and the UNPF were on the agenda.

In his welcoming remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Grigoryan stated that the major documents on the agenda are the documents based on which the Armenia-UN relations will continue to grow and deepen. He also attached importance to harmonization of the documents on cooperation with the UN and Armenia’s national strategies.

Presenting the 2021-25 UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework, Shombi Sharp stated that today’s meeting was a major opportunity to reach an agreement with the Government of Armenia on the strategic directions of the 2021-2025 Partnership Framework. He added that the UN will also consider the new cooperation programs of three UN agencies that will help implement the goals of the UN Partnership Framework along with all 12 agencies of the UN carrying out their activities in Armenia.
