Turkish Parliament approved keeping up military activities against Kurdish militants in North Iraq for a year. Turkish armed forces regularly carry out belligerences in North Iraq since October 2007.
Turkey periodically brings troops in Iraq’s territory and makes air attacks on Kurdish residences in these areas reasoning that Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) bases are stationed there.
