At Thursday’s Cabinet session of the government, a draft was adopted regarding redistribution in the state budget of Armenia. Under this draft, funding shall be allocated to the police to purchase 150 vehicles for the Patrol Service being newly formed in the country.
The draft was presented at the government meeting by Chief of Police Vahe Ghazaryan.
Minister of justice Rustam Badasyan, in his turn, spoke about the course of this program, announcing that the respective lecturers were selected through a competition and a five-month course will start in October.
"The [Patrol service] vehicles will be equipped with the latest technical equipment. In addition, an operational control center will operate together with the Patrol Service. The Patrol Service will have a new type of weapon which will be acquired during the fall, so that the skills to use it will be acquired during practical training," added Chief of Police Ghazaryan.
