Rallies by Diaspora are planned and comprise a constituent of the opinions’ exchange process, Arpi Vartanian, AAA Country Director for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh said at the October 7 press conference.

Vartanian welcomed RA President’s initiative on Pan-Armenian tour to hear out the stance of Diaspora.

According to her, some provisions of the Protocols arouse concern. “But do admit, that it is easier to sign the documents as they go. As a result both Armenians and Turks will get what they want.”

She considers that Pan-Armenian tour would be more effective if the Diaspora representatives and Armenian delegation listen to each other instead of throwing objects and walking away. “If Armenia puts forward new issues, Turkey will do likewise, as certain circles in Turkey and Azerbaijan oppose content of the documents,” she underlined.

As to the Genocide recognition suspension after the Protocols are signed, Vartanian outlined that Turkey itself realizes once they will have to recognize Genocide.
