Forty one of the 129 citizens, whom the police had detained from the rally of the 17 opposition political parties of Armenia at Liberty Square in downtown capital city Yerevan, have already been released.

This was reported to Armenpress by the Public Relations and Information Department of the Police of Armenia.

"The number of those brought to the police [station] is 129. However, as of 15:30, 41 of those brought have already been released," the police said.

Police had earlier demanded to end this rally, noting that the ban on assemblies during martial law in Armenia.

Currently, the organizers and participants of the rally are outside the main government building.

They protesting against the statement signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the handover of part of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) lands.
