President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today met with hero of Artsakh, Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan and the founders of the group undertaking the initiative to establish a civil council.

During the meeting, the interlocutors particularly exchanged views on the signed trilateral statement on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and, in this context, the situation created in the country.

The founders of the group (renowned scholars, representatives of intelligentsia) expressed their concern over the current situation and shared their views on the ways to get out of this situation.

The interlocutors stated that people are in great sorrow and shared the view that it is necessary to be able to maintain stability in the country, as well as social solidarity and national unity.
