I stated clearly today that, despite speculations, violence or incitement to violence—armed, even more so—can in no way take place in the mechanism of the government, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday wrote on Facebook.

"I call, ask, demand not to consider any of our statements, gestures or invitations in this context. If you get such an impression from anything we say, it is a wrong impression.

Now I expect the opposition to also clearly state that it excludes any violent activity, incitement to violence (including armed) in its further activities.

With this, we will finally close the tension that has been occurring for days," the Prime Minister added.
