Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) is pleased to announce the possibility of resuming flights to Yerevan (Armenia) from December 4, the airline noted in a statement.

“The restart after a long pause became possible due to the stabilization of the situation in the region. UIA plans to operate flights to Zvartnots airport and return flight to Kiev twice a week,” the statement also reads.

“UIA is closely monitoring the situation in the region and the epidemiological situation in the country,” it added.

In October, UIA had announced the suspension of its flights to Yerevan—and due to Azerbaijan's military aggression against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

On November 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities in and around Artsakh.
