Armenian authorities will hold early elections only after changes in the Electoral Code, Zhokhovurd newspaper reported.

"The authorities have already sent to the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe a draft law on amendments to the Electoral Code. According to our information, the Commission will hold a meeting in March, at which, in all likelihood, amendments to the Electoral Code of Armenia will be discussed, and the European structure will present its position.

The authorities intend to discuss and adopt a suitable Electoral Code by the end of the spring parliamentary session, therefore they are in a hurry. The authorities, first of all, are trying to get rid of the formulation 'stable majority', which was introduced by the previous leadership of the country during the constitutional changes," the newspaper notes.
